Sheryl Dawson- Marketing Manager

Sheryl Dawson has been involved with the Magic since 2002 when she was invited by the Board to assist with business development. Having moved from CEO to Marketing Manager for 2008 as part of the company’s expansion she will able to give more time to her Netball Bay of Plenty CEO role.

A former Secondary School Associate Principal Sheryl took leave in 1998 to run the Vodafone World Netball Championships in 1999 in Christchurch. She then became the International Federation of Netball Associations President and Board Chair for four years from 1999 to 2003. A former representative player, coach and NNZ Umpire she began focusing on administration in 1989 when she was appointed to the Netball New Zealand Board and remained until 1999. Over that time she contributed to IFNA as the NNZ delegate. Her passion for the game is very much at the community and Regional level where innovation occurs much more rapidly.
