CEO announced

Netball Waikato Bay of Plenty Zone Inc (The Magic Zone) are very happy to announce that our new CEO is Phil Lyons. 

Phil has been a Centre Manager for Hamilton City Netball Centre for the last 9 years, has owned his own leisure/fitness business here and in the UK.  Has worked for the Hamilton City Council as the Leisure Facilities Manager managing facilities and their operations.  From that role was seconded to lead an organisational development role for the HCC that saw him develop and improve the culture and initiate change.

Phil knows the sport of Netball well, has raised significant amounts of money for business and not for profits, has done a very good job for The Magic Zone already on contract in the restructuring of our Community program.  Phil understands high performance sport having played Football in the UK to the level below full time professional football and is more than competent in the IT and social media area.

Phil has many imaginative ideas, communicates well and has a proven ability to get things done.

The Magic Zone is delighted to have Phil leading the organisation into its next stage of development.
